Spätestens seit Lukas Podolski den zweiten Mangal Döner direkt am Chlodwigplatz mit eröffnet hat, ist Mangal jedem Kölner ein Begriff. Direkt neben dem Stammhaus in der Weidengasse gibt es auch die To-Go-Varianten des Restaurants. Im Nebeneingang befinden sich eine Verkaufstheke und ein kleiner Stehbereich. Brot und Salat werden frisch zubereitet und auch das Fleisch wird traditionell frisch vom großen Spieß mit dem Messer geschnitten.
Fazit: Im Gegensatz zum Restaurant ist es in den “To-Go” Geschäften recht eng und man muss meist lange anstehen. Der Döner ist über dem Durchschnitt und es lohnt sich auch mal 20 Minuten auf ihn zu warten.
