22 Great Dinner Spots in Berlin
We’ve already covered breakfast and lunch, and now it’s time for dinner! From street food to traditional German to international restaurants, Berlin’s food scene has a lot to offer. There is something for everyone and it was again not so easy to choose my favorites.

Dinner In Berlin
1. TERAS Döner Kebab
As I mentioned in the Berlin Lunch Spots Guide, Döner Kebab is one of my favorite street foods. And I am not the only one. Even former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has eaten at TERAS. This Turkish kebab restaurant is very popular and offers kebab as well as other Turkish specialties like lahmacun and köfte.

If you’re in the mood for a comfort meal after a long, tiring day in Berlin, goldies is the place to go. Here you can get delicious burgers and fries and especially the famous chicken sandwiches.
If you’re into burgers but want to try something unique and underground, you can go to Berlinburger International.

3. Markthalle Neun (STREET FOOD THURSDAY)
Another street food must is STREET FOOD THURSDAY at Markthalle Neun. In this market hall in Berlin’s trendy district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, you can enjoy street food from all over the world usually on Thursdays from 5pm to 10pm. Perfect for the indecisive, just let yourself be inspired!

The Knödelwirtschaft, as the name suggests, focuses on the German specialty Knödel (dumplings). Here you can get the round delicacies in all their variations.
Following the trend, Schnitzelei focuses on the German specialty Schnitzel. The Schnitzelei shows a creative implementation of the German classic.

In Zollpackhof you can enjoy schnitzel and other German food classics. Besides the typical German rustic restaurant, they also offer a nice beer garden where you can enjoy food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

7. MontRaw Restaurant
From traditional German dishes to upscale cuisine. MontRaw is a small Mediterranean club restaurant with a “fine casual dining” concept. Here you can expect high-quality products and exclusive, creative dishes in a great atmosphere. But expect it to be on the pricey side.

8. Wild & Raw
Wild & Raw is a Hawaiian restaurant known for its colorful poke bowls and delicious coffee. You can order them to go or enjoy them on the spot in the modern industrial restaurant.

9. 1990 Vegan Living
1990 Vegan Living is a vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district. Many of the dishes are served in small bowls, so you can try a lot of new things! The family atmosphere and beautiful interior also make it worth a visit.

10. OH, PANAMA
OH, PANAMA is another upscale restaurant with a fascinating interior. It combines German cuisine with exotic, modern influences. Their goal is to simultaneously convey a sense of home, but also the feeling of the adventure of travel.

11. Maison Umami

13. Tapas Berlin El Colmado

15. Fes - Turkish BBQ
Turkish food is not just street food! Turkish mezze, delicious dips and meat that you can grill yourself on the table grill. You can get that and more at Fez. A great concept that invites you to linger with friends.

16. Shaniu's House of Noodles
Shaniu’s House of Noodles is one of the top Chinese noodle hotspots in Berlin. Noodle soups, Chinese stir-fry dishes, and dumplings in a simple restaurant with a casual ambiance.

On the other side of town there is another great place for Chinese food. CHI.BAR is a small but fine restaurant. The interior is simple and cozy. The menu offers popular Chinese dishes like soups, jiaozi, and bao buns.

20. 893 Ryōtei
The exterior of this restaurant… does not look like a restaurant. And that is intentional. It is an upscale Japanese restaurant where German “gangster” rappers are said to be very frequent guests. Maybe it’s the name, with “893” standing for the Japanese crime organization Yakuza. This is definitely not the restaurant you find everywhere. Very underground and cool.

21. Lavanderia Vecchia
Another unique restaurant is the fancy Italian restaurant decorated with clotheslines. In fact, this building once housed a laundry that was converted into this unusual restaurant concept.
