This place used to be the number one insider tip for travelers. I first heard about it from my roommate who recommended it to me. Now it’s not so secret anymore, but still worth a visit. It has a unique, authentic charm. It serves small plates of simple tapas to go with your wine order. It’s a place that is popular with locals and tourists alike.
I really loved the atmosphere, but it was quite crowded then, I can only imagine how crowded it must be now.

La Esquinica is a traditional tapas bar that serves guests since 1972. After a humble start, it is now one of the most popular tapas bars in Barcelona.
4. Quimet & Quimet
Another traditional tapas bar is Quimet & Quimet, founded in 1914. Here, upscale tapas creations are served, accompanied by a selection of exclusive drinks. A great place if you want to get to know the culinary side of tapas.

Vivo Tapas Restaurant Coctelería serves fancy drinks with its modern tapas in an exclusive setting. It’s as if the Great Gatsby had opened a tapas bar.

The last item on this list is Taller de Tapas. A very popular tapas place in the middle of Barcelona. Unfortunately, the service seems a bit overwhelmed at times, but that’s to be expected since it’s located in one of the most touristy areas of Barcelona.
Still, the delicious tapas and beautiful location are worth a visit.
